The Sony FX30 Digital Cinema Camera is built around a newly developed 26MP APS-C Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor paired with a BIONZ XR processor — a combination powerful enough to sit comfortably alongside Sony's broader Cinema Line. Together, they deliver full-pixel-readout UHD 4K video at up to 60 fps, 4K high-speed capture at up to 120 fps (1.6x crop), and Full HD slow-motion at an incredible 240 fps.

Color Science That Works For You

The FX30 inherits S-Cinetone color science from Sony's VENICE cinema cameras, delivering natural mid-tones, soft hues, and graceful highlight roll-off straight out of the camera. Shoot in S-Log3 or HLG for maximum dynamic range flexibility in post, or bake in Creative Looks for a polished, ready-to-publish finish. Up to 16 custom LUTs can be loaded for precise on-set monitoring via the display, EVF, or HDMI output. Record in 10-bit 4:2:2 using XAVC HS or XAVC S-I formats, and push the HDMI port to output 16-bit RAW to a compatible external recorder.

Three dedicated log shooting modes — Flexible ISO, Cine EI, and Cine EI Quick — give shooters of all experience levels control over exposure and dynamic range. Dual Base ISO (800/2500) and a sensitivity range reaching ISO 32000 keep footage clean even in challenging light, while 5-axis in-body image stabilization ensures steady results handheld or on the move.
