Sony FE 28-70mm OSS Zoom Lens

Your Everyday Zoom, Engineered Smarter

Meet the lens that earns a permanent spot in your kit bag. Sony's FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS delivers a wide-to-telephoto reach purpose-built for full-frame E-mount bodies — and it does so without weighing you down. The variable f/3.5-5.6 maximum aperture is the key to keeping this lens impressively lightweight and compact, making it the ideal everyday companion for travel, street, and general-purpose shooting.

Optical quality is handled by a refined element layout featuring one extra-low dispersion (ED) glass element that clamps down on chromatic aberration and color fringing, plus three aspherical elements that tackle astigmatism, field curvature, and coma across the entire zoom range. The result is cleaner, sharper images from edge to edge.

Performance That Keeps Up With You

A linear autofocus motor with internal focus delivers quick, near-silent focusing — ideal for both stills and video. When light drops and shutter speeds slow, the built-in Optical SteadyShot (OSS) image stabilization steps in to counteract camera shake, and it can work in tandem with select Sony bodies that offer sensor-shift stabilization for even greater control. APS-C shooters also benefit, gaining a 42-105mm equivalent range. A seven-blade circular diaphragm rounds out the package with smooth, natural-looking bokeh when you need to isolate your subject. Dust- and moisture-resistant construction means this lens is ready whenever — and wherever — the shot presents itself.
