JBL Go 5 Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Purple

Big JBL Pro Sound in a Pocket-Sized Speaker

The JBL Go 5 proves great sound doesn't need to be big. Tuned by Harman Acoustics, this portable Bluetooth speaker delivers 4.8W RMS of rich, room-filling audio that's 14% louder than the previous generation, perfect for solo listening, backyard hangouts, or tossing in a bag for your next trip.

Waterproof Durability for Life On the Go

Rated IP68 for dust and water resistance, the Go 5 can survive submersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, so pool parties, beach days, and sudden downpours are no match for it. Its shock-resistant shell shrugs off drops and bumps, while the integrated finger loop makes it easy to clip onto a bag with an optional carabiner.

Smarter Connectivity and Wider Soundstage

Powered by Bluetooth 6.0 with LC3 codec support, the Go 5 delivers a fast, stable wireless connection, and its built-in DAC enables lossless USB-C audio playback for listeners who prefer a wired source. Bump two Go 5 speakers together for instant AirTouch Stereo Pairing, or link multiple units via Auracast for an expanded, immersive soundstage.

Customizable Light Show and App Control

Soft ambient edge lighting wraps the speaker body in a customizable glow, with selectable themes controlled through the free JBL Portable app. The app also unlocks a 7-band EQ for fine-tuning your sound profile and delivers over-the-air firmware updates to keep the speaker current.

What's Included and Built Responsibly

Each JBL Go 5 ships ready to pair out of the box and is crafted from PVC-free, post-consumer recycled materials, reflecting JBL's push toward more sustainable audio gear. With up to 10 hours of battery life when Playtime Boost is enabled, this compact purple speaker keeps the music going from morning coffee to late-night hangouts.

A Trusted Name in Portable Audio

JBL has led personal and portable audio for decades, and the Go 5 continues that legacy in a palm-sized package backed by real-world durability testing and a reputation for reliable sound. Whether upgrading from an older Go model or buying your first portable Bluetooth speaker, the Go 5 offers dependable performance, lasting build quality, and a design made for everyday adventure.
